ABOUT

From my early days in art education, to my many years teaching in New York City and at Teachers College, Columbia University, to the thousands of hours huddled with teachers studying, planning, innovating, I've been lucky to spend most of my time with three things I love: books, children, and teachers.

When I'm not working with children or teachers, I'm writing, hiking or paddle boarding with my German Shepherd, Ivy, or restoring wooden boats!
